My 1940’s Wedding Ideas

So Tom and I have been together almost 12 years and are still not married. We’ve wanted to marry for years but had a few bumps in the road (like me needing a divorce but unable to contact my ex and then he refused to give me one) then when we finally did book a wedding and started to pay it, little Jack came along 🙂

But now we’ve definitely finished with children we’ve decided to get it booked again. And we’ve decided on a 1940’s themed wedding.

We’ve been to a few 1940’s themed days out and we’ve just enjoyed them so much, it’s just  inspired us.

Obviously it won’t be completely 1940’s because they wouldn’t have had much back then but we’re going to stick with it as much as possible. But I do want to try and stick with as much as I can. My dress will be lace and silk, We will have a sweet cart with only 1940’s sweets, a simple (ish) cake and we’re going to ask all our guests to dress in the style of 1940’s.

Here are a few of the things I am going to be purchasing (I’m not showing my dress because I don’t want Tom to see)
