I’m back! I think…..

Hi all. I know I have been absent lately so I thought it time I explained why. Well firstly the miscarriage set me back a little.

Secondly I lost my blogging mojo. I’m not sure why. In fact as far as blogging was going I had reached a good point. I had 5 reviews in one go, I had a few things to blog about and I was getting a lot of page views (more than previously anyway) maybe I was a little overwhelmed? I’m not sure.

And thirdly I had an email from my blog platform to say that had ceased development. In short I basically had to find a new platform to use. That scared me to death because I barely new what I was doing on that one, add the loss of mojo and it just it me! I am now moved over to WordPress (flipping confusing) and my stats have gone right down ๐Ÿ™ I know it’s not all about the stats but I was getting like 19,000 views a day and now I’m getting about 30! Totally different! It is a little disheartening and feels a bit like I am starting over again.

I hope I get my mojo back soon (writing this is a start) because I don’t want to stop blogging.

Have any of you guys lost your mojo before? How did you get it back?

I lost mine just after Easter, other than a couple of half hearted reviews I barely blogger for a month. I sat back, read lots of blogs for inspiration and had a name change and back on it now ๐Ÿ™‚ it’ll come back, you’ve had a rough few weeks

  2. I think a lot of the views reported were wrong though so we were never really getting accurate stats :/
Do as I am and completely ignore how many people are looking etc, carry on with what you’re doing cos you’re great and stats don’t/shouldn’t matter at the end of the day x

  3. I hooe your mojo comes back soon, you are a great blogger. Like you I am also cobcerned about my ranks and views but I’ve told myself not to look for 3 months at least whilst everything irons itself out after moving platforms and soldier on.

  5. A miscarriage is a perfectly good reason to lose blogging mojo. It takes a lot of energy to absorb that sort of loss. Take your time. And welcome back. WordPress is a wonderful platform; be sure to check out the posts that are Freshly Pressed. An editor once featured me in that and my page views went up hugely that week. It was very heady. Are you sure 19,000 was page views and not page hits? A hit counts every time a file is accessed on the page, which really inflates the actual numbers. WordPress gives a count for page views, visitors, and views per visitor, which I find more helpful.
