The Butterfly Club by Jacqueline Wilson Book Review

91mYBvsBHdL

We were recently sent The Butterfly Club to read.

The blurb:

Tina is a triplet, but she’s always been the odd one out. Her sisters Phil and Maddie are bigger and stronger and better at just about everything. Luckily, they look after teeny-tiny Tina wherever they go – but when the girls start in scary, super-strict Miss Lovejoy’s class, they’re split up, and Tina has to fend for herself for the first time.

Tina is horrified when she’s paired up with angry bully Selma, who nobody wants to be friends with. But when Miss Lovejoy asks them to help her create a butterfly garden in the school playground, Tina discovers she doesn’t always need her sisters – and that there’s a lot more to Selma than first meets the eye.

My daughter has been a fan of Jacqueline Wilson for years so she was eager to give it a read.

I have not read it because it’s not something I think I would enjoy as an adult so I can’t give me opinion on the contents but the cover looks so bright and fun and it’s something I would have picked out if I had seen it on the shelf.

Here’s my daughters review of the book…

I  really enjoyed this book but I knew I would because I’ve liked all of her books. The story line is really good, it’s something that you can imagine would happen in real life. It made me laugh in parts too. It is a bit of a big book but it’s easy to read so doesn’t take too long to read. I would recommend it to my friends. I give it a 4/5

If you like the look of this book, you can get yourself a copy on Amazon

This is not a sponsored post. I was sent this book for the purposes of this review but all words and opinions are my own.

I haven’t read any Jacqueline Wilson. I think maybe I should before my daughter is old enough to read her books (or maybe at nearly seven she’s old enough already?).

  2. ah, I know a few girls who enjoy these books, this looks like another hit
