The End of Playgroup

So it is now the end of playgroup for Harry. He has been going since he was 2 and now he is almost 4 so it’s been half of his life.

I didn’t want him to start preschool until we got free funding when he turned 3 but Harry was behind in his speech and only wanted me at all times. So I was convinced to give it a go and I am so glad I did. Not only did it give me a little break but Harry came on in leaps and bounds.

He can now talk brilliantly, is more confident around people and will find a friend everywhere we go (yet is still shy) and has grown into such a clever boy.

And it’s helped me with the transition to school. I really didn’t want him to go to school because he will only have just turned 4 in the month he starts, so I felt it was too early. But Harry is so excited to start and whenever we go somewhere he darts for children because he craves that interaction. It would be unfair of me to hold him back from that.

I am of course still nervous but I know he wants it. We’ve also visited the school a few times and it is a fantastic school.

I didn’t think I would ever be feeling the way I am. Nervous and excited for him. I am so thankful to his playgroup, they have been wonderful!

So good luck little fella, I am sure going to miss you when you have to leave me everyday and not 2 1/2 days a week 💚

Aww! Bless him. He’s such a cutie.
I’m sure he will love school….I think it’s harder on us as parents letting them go x
