Word of the Week

This week my word is Active! I wrote a POST earlier in the week about a challenge I had set for myself. I have been really good and kept very active this week. I have walked all of the school runs and on Wednesday I walked to the post office with Harry and then Harry, the OH and I walked the long way around to the MIL’s. I am so determined to try and lose some weight and most importantly get fit. I have felt so heavy lately (inside and out) so I know I not only want it but need it.

I really hope I can keep it up and then as I get fitter, I hope to get out more often and for longer. I know Harry enjoys it 🙂

Do you have any tips on helping me lose weight and getting fitter and healthier without the use of a diet plan?

Walking is really good for body and mind I think. Well done on keeping it going this past week when it’s been so cold x

  3. So glad it’s going well, you sound really motivated. I echo Iona’s comment there, as I know I feel better when I’ve had a good walk, too. And yes, water! I drink a fair bit and always feel brighter on the days that I drink more. Thanks for sharing with #WotW x

Good for you and well done!! It sounds like you are doing brilliantly x

  5. Skip rope! Its so amazing. I have been doing that in the past but cant now cuz we live on top of the shop and if I jump the clients will complain downstairs but if I have a chance I do it. Its good for your heart!

    Goodluck with this goal. #wotw

Having the motivation to get fitter I think means you are half way there. I started running a few months ago to get fitter and it was so hard at first, but I used the NHS couch to 5k app and it has worked, I can now run for 28 mins without stopping! Keep going, you’ll get there! x

  7. I think that it is all about keeping active and eating everything in moderation and having some will power. Well done and hope you get where you want to be x #WotW

Well done! It sounds as though you’ve made a great start. I think walking is definitely good for the mind and body so I hope you go from strength to strength.
